About us
Visakha Institute of Skin & Allergy was established in 1984 in Visakhapatnam, after Dr. Ratnam Attili returned from working in Zimbabwe & Zambia. It has since then developed into a world class center of excellence for diagnosis and treatment of various skin problems. The Centre’s parent clinic is based at Marripalem. A second branch along the KGH to Beach Road approach (coastal batter road) has been operative since 2001. It is centrally located along the KGH doctors/ clinic belt. Path-breaking research and patient satisfaction are at the forefront of the Institute’s success. Dr. Sasi Kiran Attili (S/O Dr. Ratnam Attili), trained and worked in the UK for 11 years. He returned to India in March 2014 to join his father and serve the people of coastal Andhra.

OUR MOTO/ MISSION STATEMENT
Our main moto is to make quality skin treatment accessible and affordable to all.
In addition we run charitable activities including participating in free skin camps and supporting local charities. Poor patients with skin diseases who approach the clinic are ether treated for free or at concessional rates.
Path-breaking research and patient satisfaction are at the forefront of the Institute’s success.
We believe in ethical medical practice and the following is what we try and do to make sure our patients receive the best quality medicines at the cheapest price.
- We do have our own pharmacy. This allows us not to be dictated by other businesses/ pharmacies, thus allowing us to stock the best medicines at the cheapest prices. Moreover not all skin related medicines are available in regular pharmacies.
- All our prescriptions are printed rather than hand written. Printed instructions are detailed and precise. Thus they are legible to any educated person rather than just a scribble that only the doctor and his assistants can understand. So the medicines can be bought in any pharmacy. There is no compulsion to buy in our pharmacy.
- We do not give or receive commissions or show favour to any particular pharmaceutical company. As a rule we only stock medicines that are available at the cheapest price. This may sometimes include generic medicines if we have tested them and are satisfied with the quality.
- We are always happy to accept returns of and refund any unused medicines, as long as they are returned within a reasonable time.
- The prescriptions issued are generic and in fact do not mention the brand name at all. You can use the brand of your choice as long as the composition is the same. However we do ask patients to stick to reputed brands if they are buying medicines from outside.
- Our staff are specially trained to dispense skin related medicines. The method of application of creams etc will be explained to you in detail by one of the staff members at the time of purchasing the medicines. If you wish to buy the medicines elsewhere please do come back (or seek advise via email/phone/whatsapp), we would be more than happy to explain the usage of the medicines. We also have a whatsapp/ email/phone helpline for any medicine related queries that the doctor personally replies to.
- We issue a receipt/ bill for all purchases, complying with the current tax/ GST guidelines.
